ABOUT BAD YOLK GAMES
Bad Yolk Games is a Sustainable Gaming Development Studio founded on principles of employee health and happiness as well as making games on its own terms. Our talented team of Indie and AAA veterans from Development teams working on IPs such as Wolfenstein, Doom and ACIII, Publishers in both Indie and AAA space and Platform business (PlayStation) are focused on bringing joyful and immersive experiences to our players. Our first game, Main Assembly, was released in January 2021 and was nominated for Best Debut and Best Technology at the Nordic Game Awards. We’re now working our next project and hope that you want to be part of the journey!

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Programmer you work collaboratively with the team to build the game:
- Helping to implement the tools and systems that are the foundation of our games
- Providing or exposing accessibility options and features
- Optimizing to ensure a consistent, smooth experience across target platforms
- Prototyping new ideas for rapid iteration
- Desire to build and modify systems foundational to the game
- Willingness to help develop new tools to support other developers
- Good C++ programming skills
- 2-5 years’ professional experience in an engineering role
- An interest in many areas of game development
- Interested in accessibility in games
- Shipped games across multiple platforms
- Experience using Unreal Engine 4
- Experience with other programming languages and/or node-based visual programming
- Insight into multiple areas of game development
- Collaboration with others across disciplines
- An interest in infrastructure development: CI, platform deployment, source control, and build tools
- Ability to share a portfolio, demonstrating your work
